Synopsis
The eighth and final season centers on the Butler and Johnson families navigating major life changes. After being fired for teaching AI to do his own V.A. conflict-resolution job, Dave explores unexpected hobbies like pickling and training machines before embarking on a new career path. Marty advances his relationship with Courtney and begins searching for a nanny, while Malcolm’s writing career takes off and leads to a romantic entanglement with a reality TV star. Tina discovers a new passion while Calvin manages his expanding local business, Westside Fuse Box, facing permit delays. Dave and Gemma make the major decision to pack up and move back to Michigan, forcing Calvin to finally accept that the Johnsons are truly family.
