This Privacy Policy explains how MyTVCalendar ("we", "us", "our"), operated by LeftHandLabs Ltd, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, username, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Usage data: the shows you track, episodes you mark watched, ratings you give, and your timezone preference.
• Integration data: if you connect Plex or Jellyfin, we store the tokens/identifiers needed to receive watch events from those services, and the watch events they send us.
• Uploaded data: if you use the Netflix history import feature, we process the CSV file you upload to match it against your watch history.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar technical information collected automatically for security and diagnostic purposes.
• Push notification data: if you enable browser push notifications, we store the subscription details your browser provides so we can send you notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Service (showing your calendar, tracking watch history, etc.);
• To send you emails or push notifications you have opted into (such as the weekly digest or air-date alerts);
• To respond to feedback or support requests;
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service;
• To improve the Service based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may process data on our behalf:

• TMDB and TVDB — for show, episode, and artwork data.
• Plex and Jellyfin — if you choose to connect them, to receive watch events from your media server.
• Email delivery providers — to send account and notification emails.
• Web push services (operated by your browser vendor, e.g. Google, Mozilla, Apple) — to deliver push notifications, if enabled.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your timezone preference as a guest. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from Settings, your account and associated data are permanently removed.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update most of your information directly in Settings, or delete your account entirely at any time. To request a copy of your data, contact us using the details below.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords and using authenticated tokens for third-party integrations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
