Faced with the Russian threat which is becoming clearer on its border, in the Arctic, the Barents Sea and around the Svalbard archipelago, the Norwegian government has launched a massive rearmament: a future tripling of its personnel within the NATO, investments in naval defense, strengthening of its northern garrisons.
